This morning after some quite substantial time studying the L293D wiring diagram i managed to wire up the motor which controls the steering. To my suprise the one that came installed on the remote control car i am using as a base was not a servo motor, I decided for simplicity at this stage to try out the current set-up however i am experiencing issues with steering still as some times the steering simply doesnt activate. I intend on troubleshooting my code over the next few days to see if it is a software or hardware issue!
